A LENTEN MUSIC REFLECTION ~ SSPJ Choir

Adult Choir
Meets Thursdays 7:30 - 8:30pm in the main church. Sing for 10 am Sunday Mass. Men needed!! Instrumentalists welcome. No auditions are required. Make friends while praising God through Music. Remember, "He who sings prays twice".
Chords of Faith Choir
Grades 7 - 12, young men and women. No auditions are required. Practice is every Tuesday 7:00 to 8:00 pm in the main church. We sing on Saturdays at 5:00 pm Mass. Instrumentalists welcome.
Children's Choir
Grades 3 - 6, boys and girls. No auditions are required. Meets Tuesdays, 4:30 to 5:30 pm every other week in the main church. Sing Saturday 5:00 pm every other week with Chords of Faith.

About Mrs Adams:
Margaret Adams has been the music director of SSPJ for the past 26 years. She grew up in this parish and attended the parish school. Having an interest in church music, she pursued a career in music. Mrs. Adams was Assistant Organist for 12 years at SSPJ, while studying and eventually graduating from Stony Brook University as a music major. She continued her studies to later on graduate from C.W. Post where she majored in Music Education, and received her Masters. She is currently certified to teach music in NYS.
"Working here in the church is a great experience. Our ministry is made up of dedicated parishioners. All are welcome! There are many ways to join the ministry as a part-time or a full-time member. So, if you always wanted to sing, join one of the choirs or be an accompanist or cantor. You are always welcome and remember together we praise God through music. See you at church."
