9TH – 12TH Graders

The Insight Program is a comprehensive youth program that is tailor made for our parish youth and their needs. This program consists of community building, prayer, Christian music, scripture reflection, meditations, skits, fellowship and small group discussion. Topics about relationships, fear, faith, media, drugs and alcohol, peer pressure and being a young Catholic are also discussed. We accomplish many of these goals through fun events and experiences such as weekly meetings, special youth masses, retreat weekends, ski trips, sporting events, concerts, music ministry, dramatic presentations, leadership training, volunteering with our Vacation Bible Camp and community service such as “Young Neighbors In Action.”



IMPACT

8TH Graders

Impact is an introduction youth program for eighth graders that is designed to reach Confirmation Candidates before they “graduate” from religious education. Our main objective is to create community with our Impact Staff and High School Youth Ministry. We accomplish our objective through weekly meetings and special events as we also introduce new ways to pray, look at their relationship with God and faith journey.

Our staff includes trained counselors,
certified teachers and medical personnel

CAMP SSPJ

Camp SSPJ is a 5 week summer program for campers. Open to 1st-9th grade (as of the fall of 2003). Our camp runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Tuition includes a daily snack, all materials, trips and camp T-shirt. Lunches must be brought from home. Canteen will be made available at an extra cost once a day.

Campers are encouraged to play basketball, volleyball, kickball and hockey, as well as participate in dance, music, drama, and arts & crafts.
During the week there will be a field day with special events, dress up days that go along with our themes, day trips bible skits and the week concludes with Mass and our talent show.

TEEN CAMP “TEC”
(Teens Encounter Camp)

Teens Encounter Camp is a special program for teens who will be in 7th, 8th and 9th grade in the Fall of 2003. This program will include many of the same activities and follows the same schedule as our full day program but will also include special teen activities.

In addition to our regular camp trip, our teens will also have a special trip per week which may include, canoeing, Sports Plus, Splish Splash, miniature golf, movies, sporting events, barbecues, etc. Other activities include sports, music, dance, arts and crafts, field day and Junior High Youth Ministry component.

Our Youth Ministry component is an added feature which includes prayer, discussion and Christian Leadership appropriate for their age.

Camp SSPJ is $205.00 per Week
Teen Camp is $230.00 per Week
Camp SSPJ all 4 Week Special for only $760.00
Teen Camp all 4 Week Special for only $860.00

VACATION BIBLE CAMP

Vacation Bible Camp is a long standing tradition at Saints Philip and James. VBC is a two week session where 4, 5 and 6 year olds are introduced to religion through songs, dance, art, sports and stories. It is a place for them to meet friends and learn to pray.

VACATION BIBLE CAMP IS $135.00 FOR BOTH WEEKS
A family discount of $10.00 for the 2nd and 3rd child. The cost includes all the supplies needed for both weeks, a daily healthy snack and a Vacation Bible Camp T-Shirt.
A $25.00 non-refundable deposit is required.
